New HUD program offers up to 24 months of mortgage assistance to unemployed.   This will be a new program that will benefit those who are unemployed or suffering from sever medical difficulties to apply for assistance on mortgage payments of up to 24 months.  This is a true bridge loan with assistance of up to $50,000 and no interest and payments are forgivable if the home owner remains in the home and stays current for five consecutive years.  This could provide much needed relief for those who qualify.
